The little scientist in my head is wondering if this is a result of pollination (as is with my white strawberries now being more red than white when I first planted them)
Or is this a ‘change in environment result?’
Or some other causation altogether.
Wandering about and paying attention to the things growing around us offers these lovely cogitations 🥰

I’ve admired the many chicory plants that have colonized my yard over the years, but pure white full blooms were new to me. (As spent chicory flowers wilt, they may be light gray.) There were a few other chicory plants with white flowers near this one. Maybe it’s a genetic glitch.
