Fortunate Photons

SunFrontal_crop.2_blem_840x872

From a distant sun,
some light finds another sun
and can shine again.

Glowing yellow like the sun,
spider waits for prey to come.

  1. I was so interested in the chiaroscuro in the second shot that I completely overlooked the spider till the third picture. Thanks, Mel. It was a joyful journey from beginning to end. If photons experience emotion, I believe those would be happy.

Do you know if those kinds of spiders capture bees? Or do they generally grab smaller prey?

    1. Thanks.  It took a fair amount of rotating and cropping to get the chiaroscuro w/o distraction from leaves that looked white because they were angled to reflect sunlight as a mirror would.  Glad it worked for U.
