  Without buying into MLK’s theology, I marvel at his eloquence (and generosity and wisdom) in proclaiming both what a just society would look like and some of the ways that people can help the arc bend toward it.

For a long time I thought that was true. It was indeed a strong belief of the 60s. Today, I’m far from sure.
